Executive Director
James Pulciani, BA, CMT, L.Ac.
James is a respected author, professor, and consultant who has dedicated his life to healing and teaching holistic medicine. His influential books on bodywork and Traditional Chinese Medicine are widely used in degree and instructor training programs across the United States. With a gift for teaching and deep expertise in both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Massage Therapy, he has inspired students, colleagues, and clients alike through program development, keynote speaking, and innovative educational methods. At the Institute for Anatomical Research, James plays a key role in developing protocols, modalities, and curriculum that broaden the understanding of anatomy for a diverse community of practitioners.

Treasurer
Kelley Robinson
Kelley graduated from Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy in 2017. She is certified in Neuromuscular Therapy, personal training, and specializes in trigger point and injury rehab. With a degree in business management, she supports the financial and business goals of the Institute.

Willow Pulciani
Willow Pulciani heads our marketing department. With years of experience in social media marketing and content creation, Willow guides our lab in all things online.

Willow has had first hand experience gaining valuable and life-changing insight through anatomy tours at the lab. The experience she's had learning from our invaluable Donor's inspires her in her work with us.

Operations Manager
Carla Oliva BS, LMT, NCPT
Carla Oliva is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Pilates studio owner, Franklin Method® Educator, and movement educator whose dedication to understanding the human body began in 1995 during her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education in São Paulo, Brazil. Her early passion for posture, alignment, and embodied movement led her to complete her Pilates certification in 2011 and to pursue extensive hands-on anatomical study through cadaver dissection, beginning with her first workshop with Gil Hedley in 2012.
In 2021, Carla moved to Colorado Springs to assist Gil Hedley with his landmark project, Anatomy from A to Z, deepening her involvement in integrative, experience-based anatomy education. She now serves as Operations Manager for the Institute for Anatomical Research and continues to expand her somatic expertise as a student of the Feldenkrais Method®.​

Founder & Vice President
Bonnie Thompson, LMT, CNMT
Bonnie is a licensed massage therapist, author, and professor who has dedicated over 30 years to studying and teaching the human body. Beginning her career in neuromuscular massage in 1987, she quickly recognized the need for deeper anatomical understanding and went on to study dissection with renowned anatomist Gil Hedley in 1994. Since then, she has published in professional journals, taught nationally and internationally, and inspired countless practitioners. Today, her wealth of experience and passion for anatomy have grown into a nonprofit organization devoted to education and research.

Gil Hedley, Ph.D.
Gil Hedley, Ph.D., has been teaching dissection anatomy courses from an integral perspective since 1995. He is the producer of The Integral Anatomy Series, author of numerous books, and has lectured widely in the USA and abroad. Gil's academic background in ethics has shaped his development of the field of integral anatomy, and brought a unique perspective to folks from many modalities in the health, fitness, and hands-on bodywork fields. He feels honored to be a part of the team at the Institute for Anatomical Research, and is keen to promote, support and develop its educational service mission.

Rachel Scott, MSci, MFA, E-RYT 500
An expert in yoga education, Rachel helps studios and teachers around the world create transformational education experiences so that they can thrive in their business, share their passion, and support more people to integrate wellness into their lives. Her extensive knowledge and experience include earning two master’s degrees, authoring five books, leading over twenty 200-hour teacher trainings, building a teacher training department for a national yoga studio, and working in yoga studio management for more than fifteen years. She is passionate about whole body wellness, and excited to support the mission of the Institute for Anatomical Research.

Secretary
Vicki Corrion
As a consultant, Vicki provides Human Resources services for the Colorado Springs Conservatory and provides expertise in the areas of Compliance, Recruitment, Employee Relations, and Performance Management. Prior to the Conservatory Vicki spent over 35 years of service in the corporate arena, most recently as the Assistant Vice President of HR for Great-West Financial Services.

Madhav Gramke, DC
Madhav Gramke, DC is a chiropractor, educator, and outdoor enthusiast, with a great passion for anatomical exploration. Graduating from the University of Central Florida with a degree in health sciences, and from Life University with a doctorate in chiropractic, he has been practicing bodywork and teaching anatomy in parallel since 2016. With a great deal of experience in the dissection space, Madhav is deeply grateful to be involved in such a close way with the Institute for Anatomical Research and looks forward to continue learning in perpetuity.

Fauna Moore, LMBT, 500hr-ERYT
Fauna Moore, LMBT, 500hr-ERYT is the Education and Outreach Coordinator for Experience Anatomy, a bioskills lab in Charlotte NC.
Her passion for helping others as bodyworker and yoga teacher sparked her curiosity to study the human body in-depth which led her into the anatomy lab with her dear dissection teacher, Dr. Gil Hedley. Over the past 14 years Fauna has spent thousands of hours in the cadaver lab and has worked as embalmer, professional dissector, and anatomy educator.
