2025 is coming to a close, if you believe it or not, and with a new and exciting year on the horizon, we wanted to recap and reminisce about the past year at the Institute for Anatomical Research.
Amazing People, Amazing Connections, and Amazing Discovery
We welcomed so many people in the lab this year, old faces and new! This past July our

founder Bonnie Thompson led a class of massage therapists, allowing them an understanding of anatomy deeper than that of textbooks. August was a busy month for us as we had several groups in for some amazing learning. We welcomed Jan
Dommerhalt as he taught a group of physical therapists anatomy for dry needling. We also welcomed international students for Jo Phee's class, including students from Korea, Australia, the Netherlands, Italy, and China! Paul Grilley of Yin Yoga and his group spent time with us, Paul lectured in our classroom space. These are just a few of the many amazing minds who have shared space with us this year!

We welcomed several High School groups for our Anatomy for Life Program as well! We always have so much fun with these kids and we hear so often from these students they had an amazing and profound time with us in the lab.
Thankful for our Donations
We were able to purchase a new Cargo Van this year thanks to the continued support of our patrons, students, and those who have come to teach with us. A cargo van is crucial to our Body Donor program and with funds raised this year we were able to upgrade from our 2004 Honda Minivan (a minivan that was a solid teammate of ours for many years) to a newer, larger Cargo van that better suits the lab's needs.
We made repairs to our Freezer system, another component essential to our work. This equipment
maintenance is crucial and being able to make these repairs thanks to our support is something we're so grateful for.
We continue to raise funds for our High School program Anatomy for Life- making this unique form of education affordable for students. The cost of the class per student is only $15 and we hope that through continued sponsorships into 2026 we will begin to be able to offer these classes at no cost for students! If you or your business is interested in sponsoring one of our High school classes, please reach out to us at info@anatomicalresearch.org.
The lab's Marketing got an Upgrade!

If you've been around for awhile we're sure you're familiar with our lab's old logo. While we are so proud of IAR's beginnings, we were excited to reveal our updated logo!
With inspiration from our new logo running high, we went ahead and made a major update to the Institute's website. We overhauled the entire design and added new features and resources.
We've been keeping ourselves active on our social media pages including our Facebook page and our Instagram. If you aren't already following us there, make sure you do! Its the best place to keep up-to-date on happenings at at the lab! And make sure you tag us in your posts!
Looking forward to the year ahead...
IAR is so excited for this upcoming year! We have so many exciting things going on in 2026. We will be hosting another 4-dissection intensive workshop- which is an amazing opportunity to study anatomy and learn anatomical dissection techniques for anyone who is interested in benefitting from the study of anatomy. This class is coming up on May 8th and we've already had people signing up, so make sure you book your spot soon!
We have 4 drop-in classes scheduled for this year as well. These casual, 3-hour classes are open to those who are curious about studying anatomy from the human form. We center these classes around curiosity and encourage collaborative learning from all who join us. The first drop in class is February 7th which is right around the corner! The other dates for this opportunity are April 18th, September 12, and November 7. Mark your calendars!
We will be welcoming so many amazing groups, students and instructors alike. We're looking forward to making new and amazing discoveries in 2026!
Goodbye 2025, Hello 2026
